A riverside and heritage loop connecting new homes to the to the wider town

Berkely sought a contemporary approach to delivering a new neighbourhood of approximately 200 homes that celebrated their unique river setting.

BiBO’s urban designer developed a concept masterplan that arranged homes into human-scale clusters each with their own defining character – from the village core at the heritage weir, to vistas framing mature woodland.
In turn, these navigational points strategically sprang from a continuous public loop weaving its way through the development in a way that would permit existing communities of dog walkers to continue to enjoy the river, while enabling car-free enjoyment of the site by new residents.
