Working between Wiltshire Council, the Town Council and Public to develop a palette of products that captured the spirit of the Warp and the Weft

The devil is in the detail so they say, and the risk of long-term strategy is the coherent implementation of intermediate phases.

Having got under the skin of local values, concerns, and ambitions in relation to residents and non-residents interaction with public realm, our team was tasked with coordinating a widely supported collection of products for purchase. This work involved straddling between the comissioning local authority and the town council as end-user representatives liable for ongoing maintance, while identifying proprietary products to mimic the ideal but unfeasible bespoke solution.

Intended as the delivery of the first phase of wayfinding breadcrumbs, this project was an excersise in balancing ambition, practicality, subjective views, impact, flexibility and longevity in a complex (but typical) stakeholder environment.

We’ll never look at bins the same way again.
