grow

This project was driven by the need to obtain planning permission and conservation area consent for a contemporary extension to a heritage building. The spatial response enabled the client to have a large flexible space despite the physical and policy constraints of the site.

Our knowledge deepening lessons from this project (in addition to administering a building contract during force majeure event: aka Covid lockdown) were around the risks of working with existing fabric, and managing unexpected risks encountered despite best efforts at surveys… you don’t know what’s really underground til you start digging!
